Welcome to the Conference of Colleges

A forum for the Colleges of the University of Oxford to deal with matters of shared interest and common purpose, and a voice for college interests within the University community

Oxford’s 39 colleges and four permanent private halls are both an integral part of the collegiate University and also independent, self-governing academic communities. Diverse in age, size and scope, all contribute significantly to the core activities of the University:  learning and teaching; research; and wider engagement with society.

Biodiversity in Colleges

Discover what Colleges are doing to monitor, restore and encourage biodiversity in this audit report

The Conference Sustainability Working Group has produced this report on biodiversity audits, which were carried out at participating colleges in 2021 and 2022. This report provides a baseline for tracking biodiversity and our aim is to share information and good practice around biodiversity in order to encourage positive change and wider engagement and collaboration across the collegiate community.
